Katowice Special Economic Zone (KSSE) has acquired additional 116 hectares of land for the planned investments. It is the result of the project of the executive order expanding the KSSE accepted on the 4th of April of this year by Standing Committee of the Council of Ministers.

Katowice Special Economic Zone (KSSE) has acquired additional 116 hectares of land for the planned investments. It is the result of the project of the executive order expanding the KSSE accepted on the 4th of April of this year by Standing Committee of the Council of Ministers. It includes the land in Gliwice located in the direct neigbourhood of HUTA ŁABĘDY S.A.

Over 25 hectares of the land included into the KSSE is the private property where HUTA ŁABĘDY plans to develop and modernize the departments of bender and clamps and build the department of seam pipes production.

Katowice Special Economic Zone has been the leader among Polish special economic zones for years. Until now it has acquired more than 230 companies which completed their investments or the investmentsare currently in progress. The companies have invested about 21 billion zloty in total and created more than 51 thousand new workplaces. The biggest investment in KSSE is the Opel cars factory by General Motors. Altogether, the area of katowice SSE is more than 2000 hectares which includes over 45 different areas in about 40 cities and communities in Silesian, Lesser Poland and Opole voivodeships. After expansion, the area of the zone will be 2121 hectares in total.
